Make with a combination of various lean ground meats and vegetables for a healthy alternative to store bought bagged food.
Making homemade dog food is pricier than dry kibble but so worth it, the ingredients will probably cost as much as a high end quality dog food and take about 10 minutes to prepare. 1 lb of ground meats mixed with the veggies is enough for 2 servings a day for about 8 days for my 12 lb dog. The amount needed for each dog will vary based on weight and nutritional requirements.
Muttloaf Ingredients:
½ lb. ground beef
½ lb. ground turkey or chicken
2 eggs
1 ½ cups vegetables
2 Tbsp. parsley
½ cup oatmeal
Pinch of sea salt
