They are not kidding when they call them the dog days of summer, my pups love to play outside but can get overheated quickly. I always make sure to provide them with plenty of cool, clean water to drink. But sometimes they love a treat that they can savor and enjoy like you do a fudgesicle on a hot afternoon. This Apple and Chicken Pupsicles dog treat is pretty healthy for your pup with fresh fruit and a watered down chicken broth for just a hint of meaty flavor they love. You can leave the skin on your apples for added health benefits but be sure and remove all seeds as they contain cyanide. My dogs love the crunch of apples but if you have a senior dog who cannot chew as well you can use some applesauce in place of fresh sliced apples.
These Apple and Chicken Pupsicles dog treats are so simple to make, too!
